    Fairies
    By: Nathalie ([email protected])

Often times when Navi turns green you can play the Song of Storms and a red fairy will appear. You can do this in places like
the secret grottos where the puddles are or at the flag pole near the entrance to Goron City.

    Gossip Stone Tricks
By: [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected]

Lay a bomb by a gossip stone, and it will flash green three times before flashing red and blasting off into space! If you hit it with
your sword before it takes off it will stay the color it was when you hit it. Also, if you hit one with the Megaton Hammer you will
flatten it. You can even shoot a gossip stone with a magic arrow and it will start spinning around wildly, and then stretch up! It
    will then return to normal.

    By: [email protected] (Glenn Setliff)

In the lost woods, in the room after you go past the room with the shortcut to zora's river, turn left rather than going straight.
You will find two buisness scrubs and a magic bean pad. Ignore those and go straight back into the lush grass. There are
butterflys around there. walk into those, and eventually you'll fall into a hole. Here, you can put on a mask and win deku stick
upgrades (with the skull mask) and Deku Nut upgrades (with the mask of truth). Enjoy. Oh, and most other masks will get you
at least 10 rupees from these guys.

    By: [email protected] (Chang Liu)

In the fishing game, there is a secret lure called the "sinking lure" that is hidden somewhere in the pond. It's location is random so

    Gold Rupee Locations

By: Frank E. ([email protected]), [email protected], [email protected] (Ken mckay), and
    [email protected]

    1. Go to the entrance of Goron City. When you get there, you will see an upraised platform with a ring of rocks on top of it. Go
into the center of the rocks and play the Song of Storms. A hole will open. Drop down, and you will find a gold rupee worth
    200 rupees!

    2. Enter Kakariko Village from Hyrule Field. Find the tree and take exactly 10 paces back. Then, plant a bomb where you are
standing. A hole should open, and inside will be a gold rupee! (Note): If you have aquired the Stone of Agony from the House
of the Skulltula, it should violently beat when you near the hole.

    3. In a rock chamber at the top of Goron City, go down the left side using the Megaton hammer to find a treasure chest.

    4. There is also a gold rupee on bottom of the well. Go to the room where the Lens of Truth was, and use it to find the hidden
    chest.

    5. At the Gerudo Training Center if you locate all the keys after you get the ice arrows.

    6. At the House of Skulltula if you get all 100 Gold Skulltula tokens. You can go back over and over to keep on getting this
    gold rupee.

    7. I n the Fire Temple, in the big room with boulders and wall looking like a labyrinth's (where you put a bomb to fall to a
Goron), when you're standing on the walls, Navi shows you the top of a big column. Get close to the door on the right of the
column and play the scarecrow's song when Navi's green. When the scarecrow has appeared, use your hookshot to get on top
of the column. Then turn and you'll see in front of you a platform with a hookshot catcher. Go there and all you have to do is to
follow the paths to get to a big room with a chest.

    Get Biggoron's Sword
    By: [email protected] (RAJESH SONDHI)

Getting this sword takes about an hour of diligent trading. This must all be done as an adult. Something else you may need to
know is that many times, when you must present an item to someone, you have to have the person z-targeted first. THEN
punch the C-button assigned to the particular object. There are also a few other requirements. You have to have beat all the
dungeons up to the Ice Cavern, because Zora needs to be unfrozen, and you might want to already have the Sun's Song. You
have to have Epona, as time is of the essence in several situations and you cannot teleport using the ocarina when you are racing
against the clock to deliver something delicate.

The first item you start with, which you probably already have, is the pocket cucco, or rather, its prerequisite, the egg. To get
the chicken, go to the Cuccos lady in Kakariko and talk to her. She'll give you the egg, which will hatch after one game day and
become a pocket chicken. Talk to the Cuccos lady again and she'll say to keep it. Go to the house in Kakariko where Talon is
sleeping and use the chicken to wake him up. Talk to him, and then return to the Cucco lady. The Cucco lady will give you the
    blue chicken.

Leave Kakariko, call Epona and go to Kokiri and enter the Lost Woods. Go to the left, and walk up to the man sitting next to
the stump. Surprise him with the blue chicken. This man will give you the mushroom. You have 3 minutes to get it to the old
witch in Kakariko before it spoils. Run back out to Hyrule Field, call Epona, and race toward Kakariko. Enter the potion shop
and go behind the counter to get to the back door. Drop off the ledge and climb the other ladder to the next building. Present
the mushroom to the old witch. The old witch will make an "Odd Potion" from the mushroom.

Take the potion back to the Lost Woods where you found the man by the stump. Talk to the cocky Kokiri and give her the
potion. The cocky Kokiri will give you a carpenter's saw. Leave the woods and call Epona to ride toward Gerudo Valley.
When you reach the broken rop bridge, back up far from the bridge and whip Epona to gain enough speed to jump the rivine.
On the other side, talk to the master carpenter and give him his saw. The master carpenter will give you the broken Biggoron
    sword.

Jump back over the rivine and climb Death Mountain, all the way to the Crater and Great Fairy cave. Walk to the right of the
Crater entrance and Biggoron will wake up to talk to you. Give him the broken Biggoron sword. Biggoron will give you a
    prescription for Goron eye drops.

Visit King Zora in Zora's Domain and present the prescription. King Zora will give you a special frog. Take the frog to the mad
scientist who's house is on the edge of Lake Hylia. You will be given three minutes to do this. He will make will make the
necessary eye drops from the frog. Take the eye drops the mad scientist gives you, call Epona, and ride like fast, because you
only have 4 minutes to climb all the way back up Death Mountain to give the eye drops to Biggoron.

Once he pops the drops in his eyes, he can see, and will give you a rain check for your broken Biggoron sword, which he
promises to fix within three days. This is where the Sun's Song comes in handy. You can walk a few feet away from Biggoron
and play the Sun's Song 6 times, 3 for daylight and 3 for moonlight (be sure to wait long enough each time for the ckicken's
cockadoodledoo and the wolf's howl to signify the official change between day and night). After you play it 6 times, talk to
Biggoron and retrieve your sword. You now have the awesome Biggoron sword, and it will not break.

    Lost Woods Navigation Tricks
By: Jesse Smith (From The Unofficial "World of Nintendo!!"), KodeKiller ([email protected]), and
    [email protected] (jBoyle)

    1. When you explore the tunnels in the Lost Woods you can get sent back to the start if you go the wrong way. To resolve this
try going up to each tunnel and walk very slow up to the black part. If a new room pops up then you can go ahead, if the tunnel
stays black it will take you back to the start.

    2. Go to a tunnel and shoot a bow/slingshot in the tunnel. If it does not hit right away you can enter it if it hits it right away then
that tunnel will take you back to the beginning.

    3. Look at the tunnel by standing in front of it. If the tunnel is pitch black you can go through. If it has five sided fog it will take
    you back to the beginning.

    4. If you really don't want to navigate through the Lost Woods here are the ways you have to go. Right, Left, Right, Left,
    Forward, Left, and then Right.

    Locations of the Great Fairies
By: Jesse Smith (From The Unofficial "World of Nintendo!!"), [email protected], [email protected]
    (Tigger), and Zelda 64 Infinite

    1. Death Mountain Peak: Near entrance of Goron Village there is a red flag. Follow the path near the flag up until you reach
three boulders. Hop up past the first one and bomb the second one. Throw a bomb right before it explodes to blow up the third
one. Continue up the path until you see the owl, go past him and bomb the wall for the fairy. You learn a neato spin attack.

    2. Hyrule Castle: Climb the ivy and climb down the ladder past the gate of the castle. Go right until you see a sign that says
"Dead End" and there is a rock there. Blow it up and fall down to the fairy. You learn Din's Fire here.

    3. Zora's Domain: Go past the King and enter the room where Jabu-Jabu sleeps. Go to the left of Jabu-Jabu and swim until you
see a little island with rocks on it. Guess what? Blow up the wall behind the rocks. You get Farore's Wind there.

    4. Death Mountain Crater: Once you get the Megaton Hammer in the Fire Temple go look for the passage blocked by
boulders. If you had tryed using a bomb on them before you would have figured out they don't word. Take out the Megaton
Hammer and hit the rocks. You will be able to break them. Enter the cave to meat another Great Fairy. This one will double
    your magic meter.

    5. After you get through the haunted waistland you can bomb a place by the spirit temple. Look for a crack in the wall and you
    get Nayru's Love from there.

    6. After getting the golden gauntlets in Ganondorf's castle, go back outside where there is a jungle of boulders. At the end of it,
there will be a giant one with a moon on it. It also looks very dark grey. Lift it up to enter a fountain where your defense power
will be doubled! Your hearts will then appear to have a white outline... Very useful for the fight against Ganon.

    Infinite Rupee Tricks
By: Zelda 64 Infinite and Tim Brown

Once you cross the bridge while going into The Market while you are Kid Link there is a door to your right near the guard. In
that room there are many round containers which you can throw and smash or use your sword to destroy. Many of those
containers have rupees inside. Once you have destroyed them all exit. If you go back in you will discover that the containers are
back and once again have rupees inside. In fact, you can go in and out as many times as you want collecting rupees! When you
become Adult Link the room is different, but you can still use this trick since one container in the room has a red rupee worth 20
    rupees!

    By: KodeKiller ([email protected])

Go to Death Mountain and go up to where you blew up the boulders on the way to the first Great Fairy's Fountain. There is a
boulder right after those. It is before the part where Death Mountain erupts. If you blow it up you can go in a hole that will be in
the ground. In the hole you will find many rupees. Everytime you exit and come back they will come back again also.

    By: [email protected] (Tigger)

When you are Adult Link and can play the forest song play it to warp you... go up to the huge giant and run behind him and
smack him, he will give you large amounts of money sometimes, (like 60 rupees) but he will usually give you about 15 or so...
then you can just warp back and kill him again, or you can go up to the fairy pond and get healed and then come out and he is
    there again.

    By: [email protected] (Mike Damato)

When you are Adut Link go to the hole infront of the old lady's potion shop, drop down into it. In one of the puddles there
should be a fish in it. Bottle the fish and equip it. Go to the guy that looks like he is slapping the ground on the side of the
Bazzar. Press the C button that you equipped the fish on infront of the man, he will say that he will buy the fish for 100 rupees
and you will automatically sell it regardless. Then go back and get another fish and another until your rupees are maxed out. You
can also sell the man bugs which come out from under rocks.

    By: [email protected]

At Hyrule Castle stand on the drawbridge and wait for nightfall or play the Sun's Song. The drawbridge will rise up with you on
top. At the top of the bridge you will find 3 Red Rupees each worth 20 rupees. Every time you do this the rupees will be back.

    By: [email protected]

In Gerudo Valley, to the left of the bridge, fall of the edge and you will land on a ledge and there should be a boulder there. use
the golden gauntlets to lift the boulder and there should be a hole and inside there is an Octorok and rupees in a pond. collect all
the rupees and exit. When you lift the boulder again and fall inside the rupees and Octorok should be back again! Try it!

    Fairy Fountain Locations
By: Jesse Smith (From The Unofficial "World of Nintendo!!")

    1. After getting the Goron's Bracelet and the Bomb Bag, you can search Hyrule Field for suspicious looking boulders for a fairy
    fountain.

    2. In the same tomb where you find a Hylian Shield, you can find a fairy fountain after blowing up the wall.

    3. On the way to Zora's Domain, go along the green shores of Zora'a River. You will discover a fairy fountain beneath a bolder
    after bombing it.

    4. When you leave the Sacred Forest meadow you will notice a ladder on a hedge. That will led you to a clearing with a bolder
in it. Under the bolder there is a fairy fountain.

    5. In the watery paradise of Zora's Domain you can play the Song of Storms to open a hole in a platform. The hole leads to a
    fountain below.

    6. In the dry desert after playing the Song of Storms a hole will open up in the ground that will lead to a fairy fountain.

    Beat the Runner

    I got this email on
    2/20/99 from someone
    who thinks its possible to
    beat the runner!

    Hey, I really like your
    site. I have a REALLY
    cool thing I discovered
    when trying to defeat the
runner in the field I have
    spent
    many hours trying to
    beat this guy and it
    always seemed
    impossible. At the time I
    had never given the
    runner the Bunny hood. I
never knew who to sell it
    to. Anyways, I discovered
    something REALLY
good. It is my belief that
it is very possible to beat
    the
    runner. First off, when
your a kid in the game,
    you usually see the
    runner running around
    the field. Well, I decided
    to mark
    down his tracks, the
route he takes to get to
    the bridge in the forest,
    when your a child he
    actually is running to the
    bridge, but
    takes an outrageously
    longerway. Anyways, I
    drew a map of Hyrule
    field and wrote down his
    Exact route to the bridge
    (which
    is really hard cause he
    runs FAST!). Then,
    usingthis route, I raced
him as an adult and ran
    the same route he ran
    when you
    were a child. And guess
    what??? when I reached
    the entrance to the
    bridge, the runner came
    ZOOMING by me. I
    almost beat
him!!! But this is how I
    think you beat him. I've
    been trying many times,
but I can never get as
    close as that one time.
    So, try it
    out and please replyto
this if you beat him, I
    want to know what he
    gives you. Once again,
    DO NOT give him the
    bunny hood,
it is my belief that it
    makes him fasteror
    something like that. Well
    thanks again

    Email this person:
    [email protected]

    Easy Way to beat Dark
    Link

    Well, if anyone hasn't
    discovered this yet, there
    is an extremely easy way
    to beat dark link. can
you try this to see if it
    works for
    you too? when he
    appears, DO NOT
    z-target him and DO
    NOT begin attack him.
    run off somewhere and
    do the diving sword
    attack a few times. You
    may hear dark link
    mimick you a few times,
    but then he stops! he
    doesn't copy your moves
    anymore
    AND he doesn't attack!
    so, you can just strike
    him and he doesn't seem
to use his shield, but he
    won't counter with your
    own
    move (he'll still jump on
top of your sword if you
    use the forward stab
attack). wierd huh? is it a
    bug or something? Try it
    and
tell me if it works for ya.

    More fun with Dark Link

I think I figured out the
    pattern for why that trick
    works. If you notice, the
    closer you're to Dark
    Link, the more it seems
    like he
    counters your normal
    sword attacks at the same
    time. The farther away
    you get, the longer the
    delay it takes him to
    respond.
    Get even farther away, he
    doesn't copy your normal
    sword attacks at all, but
    when you do a diving
    sword attack, he jumps
    out
of the way and does his
    own.

    Now, using the fact the
    wearing the iron boots
    slows him down too, I
    was able to watch his
    actions, without
    z-targeting him, to
see what he does when I
    do something. When you
    get far enough away from
    him where he doesn't
    copy your normal sword
    attacks, but when you do
    a jump sword attack he'll
    counter. Get way way far
    away and do the same
    thing (remember, don't
    z-target him. just do back
    flips with your iron boots
on and he won't be able
    to chase you fast
    enough). He does the first
    jump
    out of the way, but
    doesn't do his own jump
    sword attack, but jumps
strait up or does a back
    flip. From that point on,
    he will
    no longer attack you nor
    counter your normal
    sword attacks. You can
    do this ANYTIME after
    the battle has started.

    Also, if you have plenty
of deku nuts, try to freeze
    him. When he's frozen,
    DON
